This VST seminar is also suitable for Tracking Dog (TD) and Tracking Dog Excellent (TDX) dogs, as Vince teaches all levels using the same technique & criteria. The working teams will train VST from beginning to “test ready”. Instruction will cover equipment, line handling, motivators, starts, track proximity, turns, article identification, transitions, surfaces, building effect, vehicular traffic, pedestrian effect, etc. Working lunch included in fee both days.

Vince has earned multiple TDs, and TDXs, and has, to date, three VST/CT dogs, two of which were invited to the AKC Tracking Invitationals. He is currently training dogs towards titles at all three levels. Vince is an AKC Tracking Judge (TD, TDX, & VST (Provisional)) and has a background in AKC Obedience. He trained with FEMA Urban Search & Rescue Task Force NETF-1 and graduated from the FEMA Canine Search Specialist Course with his Belgian Tervuren, Champion Tracker Twister HIC. He has also trained in Wilderness Search.
In private life, Vince is a Construction Superintendent/Industrial, all trades.
Where is Cape Charles, VA and why are we going there?

Cape Charles is a small (pop 1435) town on the Chesapeake Bay, at the southern tip of the Eastern Shore. The entire town is on the National Registry of Historical Sites. We will be based at the Gazebo in the Park and tracking throughout the town.
Cape Charles is hosting the 3rd Annual Tomato Festival the weekend of the tracking seminar: a parade, arts, crafts, a street fair, and fabulous food. http://www.capecharles.biz
Cape Charles is also the home of the Bay Creek Resort, with the Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses, a world-class marina, restaurants, and shops. http://www.baycreek.net
From Virginia Beach, VA – drive across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel ($12.00 toll) to the Eastern Shore, then follow the signs 14 miles to Cape Charles.
